MAY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ENJOY THE WARMTH AND
BEAUTY OF GOD'S CREATION THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF MAY AND ALWAYS.
May is National Teen Self-Esteem Month!
May is National Teen Self-Esteem Month, a month that was started in order to battle against the negative self-image that teens often have. During this month, parents and teachers are encouraged to be positive role models for teens, promote diversity, and foster a positive body image. It's important to remember that this generation of teens will be the next generation of leaders, so making them confident and secure is an important task. Borders is offering an awesome reading program for the summer. Click on the link below to access more information. Students have a chance to earn a FREE book while keeping their minds sharp over the summer! Happy Reading!
We are in need of KLEENEX! Please donate to the many runny noses of our middle school! We are also in need of CLOROX WIPES to help clean the desks and other items that can get filled with germs. THANK YOU!
MAGAZINES NEEDED! If you have any old or unwanted magazines I would kindly take them to use in my classroom. There are many times we use magazine clippings for projects and collages and I am in desperate need of new magazines for the students to use. Please make sure the magazines are appropriate for school use. You can drop them off in my classroom or in the office. Thank you for your continued support!
Welcome to Language Arts! You never know when God will open a door in your academic world...be open to what reading, writing, and grammar can do for you!
This is my first year teaching in the middle school. I taught three years of 5th grade in our elementary school. I graduated from Concordia University with an Elementary Education major (certified to teach grades 1-9) and a minor in Language Arts. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with most of my former 5th graders, now all grown up, once again.
My goal this school year is to grow my students closer to God, closer to one another, and closer to being prepared for the journey God has in store for them. I look forward to working with you as parents and I especially look forward to working with my students.
Attention Parents: A great way to get involved in your student's life is to read the same book your son or daughter is. You can talk about the characters, the plot, the setting, and so on. What a great way to start a conversation!
